In 2016 I began work as a trumpet and piano teacher at George Spencer Academy, Toton, Nottingham. As well as my one to one lessons I’m also active in their jazz development programmes and coach their Jazz Combo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In 2018 I took on a bigger role in Bromsgrove’s Music Department. I currently run the Year 5 Trumpet Scheme, which takes 11-12 year 5 students and, through their academic year, I teach them how to play the trumpet alongside improving their musical listening, reading, performance practice and general musicianship skills. I am also in charge of developing the brass section in the schools’ senior orchestra, I run the schools’ Big Band (BB2) where we develop improvisational and ensemble skills and, in an effort to start developing brass players form a younger age, I teach two pBuzz classes at the pre-prep school. I continue my regular one-to-one teaching ranging from beginner to diploma level.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
